The Global New Version AION V integrates top-tier electric drive, control, and battery technologies, achieving an impressive 750 km range and an energy consumption rate of just 12.8 kWh/100 km. The model introduces AION’s pioneering 400V+3C fast-charging technology for widespread accessibility and speed - the 400V platform is compatible with 99% of charging infrastructures worldwide, and provides up to 370 km of range with a 15-minute charge.

The entry-level version of the ID. UNYX is powered by a 210 kW (286 PS) electric drive motor on the rear axle. The motor is powered by a 77 kWh battery (net). The drive system can achieve ranges of up to 621 km (CLTC standard, China Light-Duty Test Cycle). There will also be an all-wheel-drive version with two electric drive motors and an output of 250 kW (340 PS).

Enabled by further enhancements of Lucid’s groundbreaking technology, the 2025 Lucid Air Pure equates to the most energy-efficient vehicle ever, the first to achieve 5 miles of range per kilowatt hour of energy – via an EPA-estimated range of 420 miles from an 84 kWh battery pack – reaching a major milestone in the global effort for sustainable transportation.

This innovative energy storage solution can charge from 10% to 80% in just ten minutes and has a lifespan of 3,500 charge cycles. For comparison, high-performance lithium-ion batteries are designed for at least 1,000 full charge cycles, equating to a minimum of 300,000 km for a 60 kWh battery with a 20 kWh per 100 km con-sumption. These features, along with an energy density of 188 Wh/kg, mark significant pro-gress in battery technology and represent a crucial development for the electric mobility industry.

The new Combo generation is the ideal family vehicle. Customers can once again choose from two vehicle lengths: the 4.41-metre version with space for up to five people, while the 4.76-metre version (Combo XL) can optionally accommodate up to seven passengers in three rows. If desired, the Combo Electric offers additional flexibility with three individual seats in the second row. Depending on the seating configuration the Combo XL offers up to 4,000 litres (up to the roof and with front passenger seat folded down) of load volume.

Customers in Germany who want to travel locally emissions-free can order the battery-electric Frontera Electric with a range of up to 305 kilometres (according to WLTP) for €28,990. As a “Long Range” version, the new Frontera Electric will be able to travel up to around 400 kilometres (WLTP) without stopping to charge.

The goal of the joint battery cell program is to provide more affordable, next-generation EV batteries with best-in-class technologies to Stellantis and its joint venture gigafactories. The battery cell design program reinforces a 20-year dynamic collaboration with CEA. Other areas of joint research include disruptive chemistries and CO2 footprint research, battery modeling, fuel cell development, life cycle assessment and connectivity.

BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ayvens, a leading global sustainable mobility player. The MoU, formally agreed during a signing ceremony at BYD’s global headquarters in Shenzhen, China on 2nd July 2024, brings together the two high-profile brands to support the distribution of new energy passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, for corporate and retail customers in Europe.

Under the five-year contract, LG Energy Solution will provide LFP batteries to Ampere from late 2025 through 2030, with a total capacity of approximately 39GWh, enough amount to produce around 590,000 battery electric vehicles.

The new powertrain delivers 156 bhp (115 kW) and 270 Nm of torque for optimum driving pleasure. The 54 kWh high-voltage battery (51 useful kWh) provides a range of up to 410 km (WLTP combined cycle).

In addition to the systems that have long been required by law, new cars registered from July onwards must also have additional assistants on board. These include emergency braking assistant, intelligent speed assistant, lane departure warning system, reversing assistant and drowsiness detection. An emergency brake light and a “black box” data recorder are also among the mandatory features in the future.
