The Chinese brand’s participation in the event comes just a few weeks after the successful European debut of the Leapmotor International joint venture in Milan and the opening of orders for the first models made available in Europe: the T03 city car and the C10 D-SUV.

And the Grandland Electric will also be available with a 157 kW (213 hp) electric motor, 345 Nm of torque, 73 kWh battery (net capacity) and a locally emissions-free range of up to 523 kilometres (WLTP1) from €46,750. Furthermore, the battery-electric SUV will be offered with 82 kWh battery (net capacity) and a locally emissions-free range of up to 582 kilometres (WLTP1) in the extensively equipped GS trim for prices starting at €51,950. But that is not all. The new Grandland is the first Opel based on the BEV-native STLA Medium platform. With the 97 kWh battery, which will be available soon, the Grandland Electric will be able to cover up to around 700 kilometres (WLTP1) between charging stops. One thing all Grandland variants have in common: They all offer numerous innovative technologies, clever features and sustainable solutions along with a stunning appearance thanks to the new 3D Vizor – which even comes with illuminated Blitz emblem in the GS trim.

With a 44kWh battery and an 83-kW e-motor (113 HP), the electric Grande Panda offers 320 km of range in the WLTP combined cycle, making it the perfect vehicle for urban daily use and weekend getaways. Grande Panda boasts a maximum speed of 132 km/h and a 0-50 km/h acceleration in 4.2 seconds (0-100 km/h in 11 seconds), with an energy consumption of 174 Wh/km (17.4 kWh/100 km).

Four years ago I wrote an article praising the Leapmotor T03. Back then the small electric car was only available in China with NCM batteries and it toke almost 7 months until it also got LFP batteries. Now, this great small electric car is finally coming to Europe with a WLTP range of 265 km, a 41,3 kWh (37,3 kWh usable) LFP battery and a price of 18.900 euros. This model arrives disassembled from China to Stellantis factory in Poland where it’s put together like an IKEA furniture.

Twingo E-Tech electric prototype prefigures the production car, which will reach the market in 2026. With prices starting at less than €20,000, it fulfils Renault’s pledge to put electric mobility within ever more people’s reach.

Second, LG Energy Solution will diversify its EV products and customers. Beyond premium batteries centered on high-nickel chemistry, the company will improve its competitiveness in affordable markets through its LFP, LMFP, and high-voltage mid-nickel products. Additionally, the company plans to expand its cylindrical battery customer portfolio to include traditional automakers leveraging its 46-series, and will actively consider developing other new form factors tailored to customer needs.

The T03 and C10 models embody Leapmotor’s vision for innovative, sustainable, and accessible mobility. The T03, a compact five-door A-segment city car, offers a range of 265 km (WLTP) and interior space comparable to a B-segment vehicle’s, making it an ideal choice for driving in the city. C10 is the D-segment SUV that combines safety, efficiency, and an intelligent driving experience with a range of 420 km (WLTP), based on the LEAP 3.0 architecture.

The new PEUGEOT E-3008 and PEUGEOT E-5008 230 Long Range are equipped with a useful 96.9 kWh battery which, combined with the efficient and powerful 230 hp/170 kW motor, ensures a range of 700 and 668 km respectively (WLTP combined cycle), making them the SUVs with the best electric range on the market. The new PEUGEOT E-3008 and PEUGEOT E-5008 230 Long Range not only offer record-breaking range but also some of the best charging times in their segment.

Thanks to its new efficiency drive and excellent aerodynamics (drag coefficient of 0.23 depending on equipment), the ID.7 Pro S is economical on the road. Depending on optional equipment, a combined WLTP consumption of 16.2 to 13.6 kWh/100 km was determined for the ID.7 Pro S. With the most range-favourable equipment, the WLTP range is up to 709 km. The charging times are short: In 10 minutes – the time needed for a coffee break – energy for approx. 244 km flows into the battery at 200 kW charging power; in about 26 minutes it is charged again from 10 to 80 percent.

In the first half of 2025, Kia plans to introduce the EV4, the brand’s mid-sized electric sedan. Kia plans to utilize the Gwangmyeong EVO Plant as a key production base for the company’s EV models, including the EV3 and EV4, with an annual production capacity of 150,000 units.

This collaboration carries significance as it connects the steel, battery and automotive sectors. By integrating technology in the LFP battery material field, Hyundai Motor and Kia aim to spearhead advancements in the EV market.

XPENG is expanding in Southern Europe with a 100% electric lineup, featuring the G6 ultra-smart coupe SUV, G9 flagship intelligent SUV, and P7 sports sedan. These vehicles are distinguished by their modern, dynamic design and advanced technology, including XPENG’s SEPA 2.0 architecture and the Tianji XOS 5.2 smart cabin system, which offers EV excellence and class-leading smart driving, superfast charging, and intuitive smart cabin features. Additionally, all three models have received Euro NCAP five-star ratings, reflecting their high safety standards.
