Volkswagen e-up price in Czech Republic is surprising

Volkswagen e-up price in Czech Republic

Only available in one trim level, the Volkswagen e-up has a starting price of 449.900 CZK (17.623 euros) in Czech Republic. This is actually a surprise since it’s cheaper than its sibling Škoda CITIGOe iV.

As you can see this version is very well equipped and the only optional equipment that I see as interesting for most buyers is the PJ1, which is 15″ alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tires for 13.800 CZK (540 euros).

With the optional 15″ alloy wheels that I mentioned, the Volkswagen e-up ends up costing 463.700 CZK (18.162 euros). This price includes VAT (21 %) and no government subsidy, since in Czech Republic there isn’t one.

Thanks Pajda for the heads up.

  1. Wow that’s an incredibly low price. In Sweden the price is around 26000 eur including vat of 25 percent before subsidies of 6000 eur.

With the same price in Sweden including swedish vat and after subsidies the price would be 146 000 sek (14000 eur). The car would probably be one of the top 5 selling cars in Sweden then…

  2. Small update. The VW importer in Czech Republic today reveal that this is an introductory price fot the limited edition of the first 50 cars. So we can expect soon similar price increase as with the Citigoe iV.

    1. I see. Maybe they’ll include the 15″ alloy wheels in the standard equipment and increase the price a bit.

  3. what is confusing me:
    2 rear headrests
3 three-point seat belts at the rear
    Rear 2-seater single seat

    is that a 4- of 5-seater?

I will most probably buy the skoda in Czech Republic an import it to Croatia..
