LeEco’s LeSee electric car is unveiled

LeEco's LeSee

This car is just stunning.

With the Chinese government committed to push electric vehicles and the recent success of Tesla Model 3 reservations, we’ll see a lot of Chinese millionaires putting their money in electric cars. Who wouldn’t want to copy Tesla’s success?!

LeEco’s CEO, Jia Yueting, is very proud of this concept electric car:

“When everyone is questioning us over our ability to develop a car like this and is laughing at us, we are still able to be here and show you this car… I am so emotional.”

He also promised that it will have a compelling price:

“Our cars’ pricing model will be similar to pricing models for cellphones and tv sets we sell today. One day our cars will be free… We are getting there some day.”

In the promotional video we can see the autonomous driving and wireless charging capabilities. More details will surface at Beijing Motor Show 2016 that takes place next week, from 25th of April until the 4th of May .

My interest in electric transportation is mostly political. I’m tired of coups and wars for oil. My expectation is that the adoption of electric transportation will be a factor for peace and democracy all over the world.

I have been saying this for quite some time. The chinese automakers will be future market leaders. I believe that will occur in less than a decade from now.
