2017 Ford Focus Electric now online

Ford Focus Electric

Now available to order in the USA and Canada.

The new 2017 Ford Focus Electric will be at Los Angeles Auto Show that opens for the public in just two days. Ford will take the opportunity to accept orders there, but you can already do it online.

For the moment only Canada and the USA residents can order the new 2017 Ford Focus Electric at Ford’s websites, but it will also be available in Europe very soon.

When compared to the old 2016 MY, the 2017 MY had its battery capacity increased from 23 kWh to 33,5 kWh and gets CCS fast charging capability. While the EPA range wasn’t announced yet, it should increase from 76 miles (122 km) to at least 110 miles (177 km).

If you don’t mind the battery taking up some space in the trunk, this is a great electric car and I hope that Ford starts advertising it properly not only in North America but also Europe.

What do you think? Will Ford increase electric car sales with the new 2017 Ford Focus Electric?

More than natural resources, are wasted human resources that bothers me the most. That’s why I’m a strong advocate of a society based on cooperation, not competition, that helps every individual to reach his full potential so that he can contribute back to society. “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs”.

Do you know if it is a real 33,5 kWh or usable? With or without TMS? Thanks!

    And nothing from Nissan…..

They certianly could increase sales if they stock it instead of order only…
Hopefuly they will say at some point…
I would prefer it if they had a decontented version along with the more so top end version that they are selling…
The Leaf looks like a horrible value at 2k more MSRP and less content for there base model not to mention any battery issues…
But you can get Leafs for up to 10k under MSRP…
