EvBatMon for i-MiEV is now available for download

EVBatMon

You can download it from the Google Play Store.

If you have an Android device you can now install the app and find out important things like the battery degradation.

The app is no longer in beta testing and now costs 9,90 €.

If you don’t have a compatible OBD2 you can buy one for less than 4 € on AliExpress.

OBD2 with bluetooth and ON-OFF switch

It’s a good idea to get one with a on/off switch, so you don’t drain your 12 V battery when you’re not using it.

Now it will be easier to test the reliability of the more recent LEV50N cells. If your i-MiEV, C-Zero or iOn was built after the 2012 summer you might be lucky enough to have them.

Feel free to share your battery data in the comment section.

Those are excellent news! Hope they release as well a version for the Renault ZOE as the free app is a bit unreliable.

There is also this free app for monitoring the battery of an i-Miev, Ion, C-Zero.

Unfortunately caniOn is only compatible with a very expensive ODB and doesn’t show the battery state of heath. Which is very useful for doing a simple and fast test and then buy an used car.
