BYD’s fifth car factory in China is expected to start production on April 15 at Fuzhou city, Jiangxi province, with a planned annual production capacity of 200.000 vehicles.
This is especially good news since the Chinese automaker recently announced that is now producing BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles) and PHEVs (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles) only.

Right now BYD can’t produce enough electric cars to meet demand and there are already more than 400.000 customers on waiting list, which keeps on increasing day by day.

In Australia the BYD Atto 3 already has prices, 44.381 AUD (30.442Â euros) for the 50 kWh version and 47.381 AUD (32.500 euros) for the 60 kWh version. Considering that in Australia, electric cars are even more overpriced than in Europe or North-America, doesn’t seem bad.
